Two whispers. I was trying to see the geese on the lake. Trying to stand steady in the wind. The sunlight so cherished upon my body is not kind to my eyes. In the midst of all the “tryings” to see the geese, the gift of the hawk appeared. No time to wait to for my eyes to focus. I wasn’t even sure what the blur was that jumped in front of my camera’s view. I clicked and later saw the wonder of the image captured. And so the first whisper, gifts are not always what your eyes are focused upon.
The second whisper, even more grand. I have looked and looked. I have tried to remember. Was the hawk landing or taking off? I cannot tell. And so the second whisper, which comes with a laugh, are they not the same? Is not the landing a point of the takeoff path? Is not the takeoff a landing onto a different path? To capture that exact moment where the oneness is frozen, is such a gentle reminder. Don’t look little one for either the arrival or departure. Just spread your wings….just spread your wings and transcend.
