When and If…the attachments of dissatisfaction. When I get bigger, older, have more money then I will be [insert the desire]. If this or that then I will be [insert the desire]. My eyes drawn to the beauty of the flower unfolded. The elegance and color of its arrival, its when and if. And yet, as I held the camera and when I saw its image displayed, it was the beauty of the unfolded bud that held my eyes and heart. To ponder how unlike other mammals, it takes humans so long to be able to take care of themselves. To ponder the whisper of becoming as the gift. To trust the intimacy of nurturing and growing. To know the wisdom and splendor of unfolding understanding.
