I will remember the weary gasped “Hello my friend!” Three difficult days of driving so many miles in dense fog, hail, and heavy rain, I had not seen my anchor’s face. The mountain is called Fischer’s Peak. All who live here call it “home”. No matter the miles traveled, when it first appears, you know you are home. Invisible during the fretful drives my heart still knew it was there. One more rise in the freeway and soon I would be beyond the rain and feel the sun that revealed “home’s” face.
Seeing it was safe, I pulled over to the side of the freeway and stepped outside the car to soak in the image. An unexpected scientific experiment arose. You cannot tell the difference between rain and tears as they stream down your face. Nor can you tell whether tears or rain gave drink to your smile or the earth. Someone said, Love is Life believing in itself. Like stardust, rain and tears fall from the cosmos and gift sweet Love. Simply Life believing in itself.
