Water is considered a necessary life sustaining force. The whisper so gentle and yet startling. Love also is a necessary life sustaining force. Like its counterpart, water, love should allow the other to be seen…. to be transparent in its touch.
Make no mistake, sometimes recovering a sense of growth feels more like a shredding than renewal. But neither should we make the reverse mistake and fail to see the piercing of wholeness.
I am not an artist. I smile to think of how coloring challenges a non-artist like me. But the image in my heart was so real. A large heart and a candle holder shaped like the earth nestled in the heart’s dent. The flame was swaying back…..
The image held me fixated for a while. So much like a crumbled cookie or pieces of a jig saw puzzle spilled out on a table. The image of crumbling and disconnection and still the image was very coherent and intact. So many metaphors flew through…..
