A doe laughing perhaps? I know she was chomping away on an apple as she gazed into my window at work. But you can’t see the apple and apple or not, I still think she was laughing. She laughed her way through quite a few apples. With each savored chomp she stared into my work window. I had arrived early to get yesterday’s work completed. I opened the curtains, and like the starring actress she walked slowly onto the stage. As I laughed out loud, the whisper was that of Rumi, ‘The dawn has secrets to tell you, don’t go back to sleep.’
She bowed her head again and I assumed she was going to pick up another apple. When she raised her head, she walked off stage with the elegance of a skilled actress who has nailed her part. Her audience of one laughed again and the dawn streamed forth her secrets.
