Yes, its a little marmot filling his cheeks with the bird seed I put out everyday. Have not seen them since last fall. But every day I looked for them. I call them my little hoovers after the vacuum cleaner – they clear the ground. Yes, its a little marmot and yet, much more. I dearly love the pigeons that dance at my feet. The squirrels that scamper like pin balls and now have learned to trust me and don’t run when I go outside. The ravens that come and dwarf all the others. But the marmots were the missing piece. A simple little gift of nature. Amazing. Something so small, and in the scheme of world events, probably one could say insignificant. And yet, isn’t that just like the Sweet Hands of Life, the Beloved, to know what makes your heart smile. In the scheme of Life and Love…the insignificant trumps the significant. Thank you my friend.
