A wearying day of questions. To sit and let all pass through. Then the smile to remember those precious moments when acts were done or gifts given anonymously. No expectation to see the response. No desire to see the other’s face or reaction. The joy was simply in the offering and leaving. As I sat with the questions, with a smile, to offer them with the same hands and heart of no attachment to the outcome or answer. The joy in the ability to offer, leave, and simply trust.
The picture of the horse? A most wonderful experience of seeing horses without fences roaming free. Without fear they walked up to the car. I wanted so bad to get out and be closer, perhaps to touch. But knew I could not risk their friendliness and mine and possibly put them in jeopardy for another who may not have a kind intent. And so, like the questions, the joy in the offering and release of choosing not to fence or hold.
