Today magic took on a whole different meaning. Talking to a little one, a princess in pink, three deer strolled by the ground level windows. The windows are tinted so you cannot see into the room. They stood with their noses almost touching the glass. Their eyes, it seemed, focused on the little one who was frozen in delight. Ok, I squealed like a big girl I was so excited.
I pondered the moment and thought of Walt Disney. The man who created so many worlds of dreams and princesses. Two quotes floated in the eyes of the deer as they gazed in. “If you can dream it, you can do it. …All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” “You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality.”
Magic was all I felt then and as I began to type this scrich. Curious, I looked up the etymology of the word magic. More magic…. Late 14c., “art of influencing events and producing marvels using hidden natural forces,” … to be able, to have power.” I think Disney would smile. I think the Sweet Divine Hands of life, the essence of all natural forces hidden within each of us and without would also smile.
In a world tossed and turned right now, nice to pause and see the magic in soft eyes gazing at each other. And, I turn my eyes from the computer and gaze into yours. Dream to dream. Courage to courage. Influence and change producing marvels to influence and change producing marvels. Power to power. And most important…life to Life. We can do this….we can.
