Such a tangled bud of pre-buds ready to open. What truly caught my eye was the yellow cupped hand beneath the bud. Almost like a mother’s hand suspended beneath a baby’s body ready to give support if needed. Or even a gentle hand ready to catch any errant pre-pud that should fall. The two are not joined. But more than just these two had grown in such a way that the unopened bud and the cradled pedal had grown near.
The wall of wild flowers opened and elegant demanded your attention. Yet, once their rightful beauty and awe was acknowledge, it was the subtlety and simple bearing of the cupped hand and unopened buds that drew the heart. “Look to the lilies of the field” said Jesus. Buddha pointed to a single flower or the lotus. Rumi said “Very little grows on jagged rock. Be ground. Be crumbled, so wildflowers will come up where you are.” May my heart and its manifestation in life look to, point to, and invite such simple whispered grace for myself and all others.
