A patch of dew drops greeted me as I arrived at work 90 minutes early to complete yesterday’s work. They gifted a smile. I took a two minute mid morning pause to clear my head and hurried to see if they were still there. They gifted a smile. A two minute lunch pause and again they were still there despite the direct morning sun. They gifted a smile. When I left after a day of sun they bid me good night and gifted a smile. I bowed and said thank you and laughed at our secret.
Was not the sun that diminished their number. I gifted everyone I touched in thought or in person with a precious drop that reflected a world of beauty and grace. I confess I was tempted to touch one and place its heart against mine. I laughed again. They had already found the tender blades within my heart.
Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a life. ~ Rabindranath Tagore
