The morning’s sliver moon, somewhat like my day. The sweet sliver moon readying for Friday’s New Moon. The New Moon ushers in a new cycle and absolute fullness. It is also a fullness we cannot see. The moon’s illumination is completely hidden. There, yes, but unseen.
On a day when it may have seemed even the sliver was in doubt, I celebrate the unseen fullness. A gentle reminder that loss of illumination does not mean the absence of fullness. The sweet sweet moon, truly a perfect reminder that days ebb and flow in the fullness we can or cannot see. The sliver moon and the darkened New Moon, the reminder that all, both light and dark, are part of the path. It is the whispered power behind the affirmation, “This too shall pass.” And that, sweet mercy, is more than enough for me.
