Oh, trust me. Despite the fact that the camera IS my eyes and my lens to see the world, I run from cameras. No one ever has to worry about me posting selfies. Nope. Nope. Nope. But sometimes, even that which we fear or dread can actually make you smile.

A friend caught me in moments of nature. Thích Nhất Hạnh wrote “Because you are alive, everything is possible.” The whispers brought both the quote and the images to my mind as I scurried about today trying to get everything ready for a very challenging week. I sat and pondered the images and the quote. Truly, I should not be alive. But I am. And so, here I am. Because I am, the quote reminds me that yes, everything is possible. Yes, a challenging week awaits. But I am alive and that means everything IS possible. So perhaps time for a non-selfie to simply say, “Here I am. Here. I AM.”
