At first I thought the whisper was that of “Preview.” A preview of what was, what is, and what was yet to come. But as I pondered the unfolded petals, the folded leaves, and the partially revealed centered, I asked myself is there ever a preview? All I have truly is the experience of now. This moment with its textures, its colors, its sensations and emotions are all I can truly know. And even that “knowing” is based upon my eyes and conditioning. Your eyes looking at the same flower would see something very different than mine.
“If you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for a moment” (Georgia O’Keeffe). And so it was mine.
